Cyber Security: Protection from Head to Toe
Cyber criminals are looking for ways to compromise our devices and data. This presentation will provide an overview of cyber security, current trends in cyber crime, how to recognize it, what to protect, and steps to protect yourself personally and professionally. This presentation will discuss cyber threats, map the threats, provide ways to protect from cyber threats, provide ways to prevent cyber threats, and discuss how to act to reduce the likelihood of threats.
We are excited to welcome Doug Carter, the Americas - IT Security Operations Manager with IT Risk Management & Security for Munich RE. Doug works out of the IT Risk Management & Security Group in the IT Security Services Delivery tower. Doug manages a global IT security team that provides IT Security Services. This includes operating deployed security solutions, governance of external IT security services providers and developing and maintaining security solutions and processes. Doug has a Bachelor of Science in Technology for Learning Design and an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Network Engineering Technology.
Doug has expertise in IT Security Leadership, Policy, Standards, Access Control, Learning Design, Technical documentation, People Management and IT Security technologies. Doug has over twenty years of experience in technology. Doug is a member of International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) and sits on the SecureWorld Advisory Council. In his free time, Doug enjoys coaching and education of soccer, learning design, technology awareness, spending time with family, collecting vinyl records and travel.

Where: American Modern Insurance, 7000 Midland Blvd., Amelia, OH 45102
We will meet in the Conference Center (Room C101) at American Modern. If you are not an associate of American Modern, you will need to enter through the front entrance of the Conference Center building and you will be escorted to the meeting room.
Cost: Free, but space is limited to 100 attendees.
A light snack will be provided during the registration and presentation. Hors d'oeuvres along with non-alcoholic drinks, beer, wine, and the AMIG cocktail will be provided during the Happy Hour.
* The Chapter will report 1 credit hour to The Institutes Continuing Education for CPCUs program for attendees of this educational event.
* We will be applying for 1 Ohio CE course credit but approval has not yet been granted. Please be advised that it could be denied or approved for fewer credits than requested. We will notify registrants by email once approval is obtained. The course difficulty level is basic. There will be no exam required to receive CE credit. Thank you!
